Bob Gidney

Bob Gidney, age 75, of West, passed away early Sunday morning, August 9, 2020 at West Rest Haven in West. Memorial Graveside Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Rev. Todd Pick officiating. Bob was born December 24, 1944 in Waco, the son of the late Dr. William Hayes and Lois (Ludwick) Gidney. He attended schools in West and was a 1963 graduate of West High School. Bob then graduated from Baylor University in 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in West. Bob was the owner of Melodee Music in West for many years. He enjoyed working on antique cars, jukeboxes, and pinball machines. Survivors include his brother, Bill Gidney and wife Grace of West; a good friend, Robert Swope and wife Sara of West; many cousins including, James Gidney and wife Peggy of Waco, Holly Ferguson of Spring, and Mike Mosley and wife Sheila and Chris Mosley and wife Suzanne, all of Chickasha, OK; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of West.
