Bimbo Hand

Bimbo Hand, age 70, of West, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Ross. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Bimbo was born February 10, 1954 in Waco, the son of James "Pa" and Martha "Ma" Hand. He was a 1972 graduate of West High School. On March 11, 2005 he was united in marriage to Jamie Busby in Waco. Bimbo spent his days working as a plasterer, small business owner, entrepreneur, and entertainer; but everyone knew he was a cowboy by heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling Jamie how to drive better, socializing with friends and watching football at Mynar's, and shooting pool.

Bimbo is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Jacob Bates; and a brother, James "Slim" Hand, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Jamie Hand of West; son, Cody Joe Hand of West; daughter, Stacy Miller of Valley Mills; step-son, Collin Busby of West; brother, Ty Hand and wife Kerry; sister-in-Law, Kayla Allen; nephews, Shane Machac and wife JoAnna McGee, Tracer Hand and wife Kelsey Russell, and Rowdy Hand; great-niece, Adalynn James Hand; cousin, Carolyn Farrar; and many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Troy Willenborg, Jerry Willenborg, Jimbo Kolacek, Billy Wolf, Bob Willis, Eddie Snokhous, Michael Weinberger, and Rick Mynar. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Mata, Bobby Harris, Stevie Kalina, Buddy Reed, Cody Long, Shawn Kalina, Corky Campisi, Thomas Wolf, C.J. Hajek, Buck Zahirniak, Kevin Donnell, Mike Sawyer, Justin Hykel, Zack Vanek, Collin Busby, and Jacob Bates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lance Willenborg Foundation.
