Billie Ruth Malone

Billie (Webb) Malone, age 89, of Waco, passed away late Saturday night, June 17, 2017 at West Rest Haven. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at Waco Memorial Park with Ryan McCoy officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Billie was born on December 20, 1927 near West, the daughter of Ivey "Butch" and Alice (Kent) Webb. She graduated from West High School in 1945 and on August 30, 1947 was united in marriage to Bill Malone and began her life with him in Waco. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1996. Both were very active members of Hillcrest Baptist Church for many years, holding various positions of service. The Malones later became members of Western Heights Baptist Church. Billie served as personal manager and vice president of the Graham Embroidery Company for 25 years. After retirement, she and Bill traveled frequently. Billie was an incredibly loving, caring and generous person, taking great pride in her home. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She made everyone feel welcome and at home. She also enjoyed writing poetry, reading and working word search puzzles. Billie is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Cox, Marie Miller, Virginia Anderson, Nancy Faye Hurtt, Francis Craig and Betty Winton; and brothers, Bobby Webb and Hulon Webb. Survivors include her son, Gary Malone of West; sister, Shirley Bailey of Lubbock and brother John Abe Webb and wife Ann of Allen; special friend, Cathi Bachik, to whom Billie was like a second mother; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Craig, Kevin Craig, Kent Craig, Butch Webb, Ricky Webb, Jimmy Winton and Jeff Bailey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family extends a special thanks to all those at West Rest Haven for the love and kindness shown to Billie and her family during the brief time she was a resident.
