Beverly Joyce Cureton

Beverly Joyce Cureton, age 60, of Hillsboro, passed away early Monday morning, August 4, 2014 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Howard Gruetzner officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Beverly was born February 1, 1954 in Waco, the daughter of Joseph C. and Barbara (McCartney) Witt. She attended schools in Gholson and West, prior to attending 4-C Business College. On March 25, 1980 she was united in marriage to Stanley Cureton in Hillsboro. Stan preceded her in death on March 17, 2004. Beverly was an administrative assistant and medical staff coordinator for Hill Regional Hospital for the past 19 years. Prior to that she worked for Behren's Drug Company in Waco, G&P Seed Company in Aquilla and kept the books for the Aquilla Water Department. She was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church in Aquilla. Beverly enjoyed volunteering with the Senior Circle in Hillsboro and playing bingo. She especially loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Beverly is also preceded in death by her father. Survivors include two sons, Eric Nemec and wife Andrea of Waco and Jonathan Cureton of Hillsboro; a daughter, Linsey Cureton of Hillsboro; her mother, Barbara Breen of West; her grandmother, Lucille McCartney of West; grandchildren, Trenton and Abbigail; a brother, Tim Witt and wife Traci; half-brother, Steven Witt; father of her son Eric, Larry Nemec and wife Johnnie Faye; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Donnie Witt, Cody Witt, Shawn Chudej, Chris Perez, Dennis Brown, Alonzo Soliz, Mike Barr and Drew Bearden. Honorary pallbearers are the Administration and Staff of Hill Regional Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
