Betty Jean Steinocher, age 92, of West, passed away early Easter Sunday morning, March 31, 2024 at Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Rev. Mark Grimes officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
Betty was born August 21, 1931 in Honey Grove, Texas, the daughter of Ocie Quinn and Willie Lee (Brewer) Logan. She attended schools in Honey Grove and was a 1948 graduate of Honey Grove High School. On February 20, 1960 she was united in marriage to Raymond Steinocher in West. Raymond preceded her in death on November 18, 1991. Betty was a member of the SPJST Lodge #66 in Elm Mott. She was a housewife and homemaker. Betty enjoyed working in her yard and going to garage sales. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is also preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jennifer Lee Steinocher.
Survivors include her children, Melissa Fritz and husband Ray of Cameron and Kenneth Steinocher and wife Mechelle of West; her grandchildren, Logan Fritz and wife Amber of Bruceville-Eddy, Callie Butler and husband Wyite of Rogers, and Kaden Steinocher of West; her great grandchildren, Willow, Maddox, Wylie, Cooper, and Wakely; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Karem Shrine, 400 Karem Circle, Waco, TX 76712.
