Betty Jupe

Betty Joyce (Deiterman) Jupe, age 75, of West, passed away late Thursday evening, April 10, 2014 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery. Betty was born July 1, 1938 in Tours, the daughter of Frank J. and Agnes (Winkler) Deiterman. She attended school in Tours and was a 1956 graduate of West High School. Betty was united in marriage to James Kirwin Jupe Sr. on November 1, 1975 in Tours. Kirwin preceded her in death on November 15, 2010. Betty was a bookkeeper for Scanroad Nobel Industries for many years and worked for an accounting firm and Southern Reserve. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Betty was also a very active member of the Catholic Life Association and the Senior Citizens Monthly Social in Tours. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, visiting the Green Door and going on casino trips. She especially loved going to garage sales and flea markets with her best friend, Patsy Wetch. Betty is also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank "Jim" Deiterman, Arthur Deiterman and Eugene Deiterman; and two sisters, Ruth Slovak and Patricia Deiterman. Survivors include three sons, James Jupe Jr. and wife Karen of Mt. Calm, David Jupe and wife Paula, and Michael Jupe, all of West; grandchildren, Jennifer Jupe Curry and husband Kody, Nikki Jupe, Jordan Jupe and Bryan Jupe; great grandchildren, Korbin, Kolby and Kolton; brothers, Dalton Deiterman, Edward Deiterman and Harvey Deiterman; a sister, Agnes "Sis" Middleton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are James Jupe Jr., David Jupe, Michael Jupe, Kenneth Slovak, Jimmy Slovak, Brian Uptmor, Bryan Jupe and Lyndon Middleton. Honorary pallbearers are Joe L. Middleton, Ricky Jupe and Kevin Jupe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or St. Martin's Cemetery Association.
