Betty B. (Trlica) Urbanovsky, age 84, of Aquilla, passed away late Friday morning, January 16, 2009 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Janice Kaluza, followed by visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Rev. B. George as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery. Mrs. Urbanovsky was born December 2, 1924 in West, the daughter of Martin and Barbara (Petter) Trlica. She attended schools in West and graduated from West High School in 1942. On September 3, 1945 she was united in marriage to Alphons D. Urbanovsky in West. Betty was a homemaker, farmer, rancher, and seamstress. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. She was also a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 66 in Elm Mott, K.J.Z.T. Society No. 104 in Abbott, West V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary, and Catholic Daughters of America in Hillsboro. Betty enjoyed sewing, baking kolaches, cooking, dancing, gardening, canning, traveling and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Martin Trlica and Jimmy Trlica; and four sisters, Rosie Matus, Lillie Matus, Mary Domesle, and Josephine Trlica. Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Alphons D. Urbanovsky of Aquilla; three sons, Richard Urbanovsky and wife Robin, Frank Urbanovsky and wife Jeanette, and Ted Urbanovsky and wife Karen, all of Aquilla; four daughters, Edith Vick and husband Jim of Black Forrest, CO, Mary Lou Smith and husband Charley of Corsicana, Joyce Stewart and husband Wayne of Dubai, UAE, and Helen Szabuniewicz and husband Jean-Michel of Weatherford; a sister, Leona Nors of Abbott; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two on the way; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are her grandchildren, Becky Patton, Sara Leopold, Aaron Urbanovsky, Amanda Wright, Tamara Harrison, Andrew Urbanovsky, James Vick, Carol Vick, Erin Appl, Abigail Smith, Bonnie Smith, Chad Eikenhorst, Bret Eikenhorst, Eva Szabuniewicz, Lydia Szabuniewicz, and Julia Szabuniewicz. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church or West Rest Haven.
