Bernard Ben Vrba

Bernard (Ben) Vrba, age 82 of Hoen, passed away Friday morning, May 5, 2006 in a Hillsboro nursing home. Mr. Vrba was born September 13, 1923 at Tours and lived in the Tours-Hoen area all of his life. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours and a fifty year member of the KJT Society #60 of Tours. Survivors include his brothers, Stanley Vrba Sr. and wife Barbara of West, Ermin Vrba and wife Anne of Sherman; a sister, Georgia Howell and husband Jack of Garland and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki, as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. Active Pallbearers will be Tony Vrba, Ronnie Howell, Ted Uptmore, Kenneth Uptmor, Herbert Brem and Mark Mobley. The family has requested that memorials be maded to the American Cancer Society, 1311 New Road, Waco, Texas 76710 or to the St. Martin's Church Building Fund.
