Ben Evelyn Chester

Ben Evelyn Chester, age 81, of Leroy, passed away late Tuesday evening, September 27, 2016 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Aaron Young and Rev. Mike Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery near Leroy. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Ben Evelyn was born July 3, 1935 in Axtell, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mae (Shannon) Chester. She graduated from Axtell High School in 1954. Ben Evelyn worked for Wells Fargo in Waco for 49 years before retiring in 2003. She was a lifelong and very faithful member of The Leroy Church where she served as secretary and taught Sunday School. Ben Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, cooking and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family. Ben Evelyn is survived by her cousin, Clyde Worrell his wife Dorothy and their children, Wes Worrell and Nikki Shreve and grandchildren, Adrianna, Will, Brian, Kyle and Madison; her cousin Rachel Richard and her family; many friends including, Jim and Linda Miersen; and several other relatives. Pallbearers are Gary Wines, David White, T.J. Watson, Joe Summers, Wes Worrell and Jim Miersen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leroy Church.
