Becky B. McChristy, age 72, of West, passed away late Sunday evening, September 18, 2016 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Memorial services and celebration of her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 315 E. Elm St. in Hillsboro. The family will receive visitors and have a luncheon at 12:00 noon prior to service time. Becky was born April 16, 1944 in Los Angeles California. She is the daughter of late H.A and Rebecca (Guajardo) Towe. She attended grade school at St. Cecilia Catholic school in Los Angeles and was a 1962 graduate of El Monte High School. Becky received a registered nursing degree after attending McLennan Community College. She worked at many places including Providence Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, Hugley Hospital and West Rest Haven. Becky also taught nursing for Hill Junior College's Cleburne campus. She was current CNA instructor for the University of Texas Arlington's Waco location. Becky McChristy was an amazing woman. She was a loving wife to Ray McChristy, mother to her son's Erik and his wife Michelle and Mark McChristy, a sister to Terrie Criswell, a grandmother to Courtney Corbin and Brooke Reid her husband Wesley, a great grandmother to Cash Coleman, Sawyer Reid, Aiden, Aaron and Ares Coburn, an aunt to Tera Wilson and Brian Emlet & many things to a family who adored her. She was a nurse who was so passionate about caring for others. She was a teacher who went above and beyond to make sure her students were successful, and they loved her for that! She was the kindest woman you could have ever met and she means the world to a lot of people. She has created so many friendships and relationships, and if you were one of the few people who hadn't met her then you missed out on the best women in the world. She was the most beautiful and most inspirational woman. Becky enjoyed antiquing, going to the beach, shopping and taking care of her dogs Suggy and Teedee, and all her other animals. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was very proud of her family and she always let that be known. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
