Becky Bearden

Rebecca Ann "Becky" (McCoy) Bearden, age 78, of Gholson, passed away Sunday morning, January 12, 2025 at Providence Hospital in Waco.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery near Chalk Bluff. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. 

Becky was born November 29, 1946 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of William "Bill" and Juanita (Toombs) McCoy. She was a 1964 graduate of Killeen High School. On March 22, 2002 she was united in marriage to Edward "Ed" Bearden in Waco. Becky worked for McCoy's Bargain Barn in Gholson for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Becky was an avid Baylor Basketball fan. She enjoyed spending time with her animals, doing arts and crafts, and making wreaths. 

Becky is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard McCoy.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 23 years, Edward "Ed" Bearden of Gholson; her children, Willaim Chalfant and Tina Louise Rogers; a stepson, Butch Moeller and wife Robin; her grandchildren, Katelan Rogers, Parker Rogers and wife Hannah, Tanner Chalfant, and Rebecca Chalfant and fiancée, Gauge Faske, Ashley Vargas, Cambri Moeller, Cheyenne Meek and husband Matthew; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Everlee, Shelbi, Jake, Weston, Miller, Parker, Grady and Carson; and other relatives and friends. Becky is also survived by her fur-babies, Bailey, Sissy, Fiona and Penny.

Active pallbearers are Emilio Garza, Adrian Johnson, Tyler Pullen, Torii Pullen, Wesley Luedke, and Bobby Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Gregory, David Moon, Tony Castillo, and Jim Avera.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue in Waco.
