Barbra Hromadka

Barbra Ann Hromadka, age 73, of Coppell, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Barbra was born September 23, 1948 in Dallas, the daughter of Arzetta May and Brownlow W. Roach. She attended the first graduating class of Macarthur High School in Irving. In her college experience, she served as Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa and received her BFA from Texas Woman’s University. She completed most of her master level coursework as well. She was a multi-talented businesswoman, holding positions in clothing design at Panhandle Slim and Haggar, in purchasing at the Stanley Works, and in reservations at American Airlines and the hotel industry. Barbra enjoyed many forms of art, especially painting, and doll collecting. Her paintings were shown in university art exhibitions and were occasionally for sale. Another form of her artistic expression was the creation of gift baskets for sale in her business venture. Barbra also cherished the times that she spent with her family and friends. Survivors are her husband of 27 years, Bill Hromadka of Coppell; sons, Robert Lee Heflin and wife Kara of Irving and Cary Owen Gregory and wife Trisha of The Colony; brother, Carl Wiggins and wife La Merle of Bowie; sister-in-law, Annette Scott and husband David of Ross; mother-in-law, Evelyn Hromadka of West; grandchildren, Amber Heflin and Steven of Hutto, Megan Heflin and Vernon of Cleveland, Madison Gregory of The Colony, and Gavin Gregory of The Colony; great-grandchildren, Tre Campbell, Jason Gressett, Lee Gressett, Bria Heflin and Aurora Gressett; nieces Carla Kinney, Lindsey Breshears and husband Doug, and Kelsey Scott; and many other loved family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
