Barbara A. Vrba, age 80, of West, passed away late Sunday afternoon, December 24, 2017 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Darrell Kostiha and Rev. Will Straten as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Martin Cemetery near Tours. Barbara was born November 2, 1937 in Ft. Worth, the daughter of the late Helen (Steward) and Albert Senftleben Jr. They moved to Bellmead where she attended LaVega and Reicher Catholic School. On September 7, 1957 she was united in marriage to Stanley Vrba Sr. in Tours. Barbara worked for West Egg Products for over 20 years before retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Barbara was also a member of the Catholic Daughter of America Court #829. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and watching game shows, Dr. Phil and Lawrence Welk. Barbara was known to watch after her elderly neighbors and take care of her dogs, Lassie, Charlie Brown and Pete. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Stanley Vrba Sr. of West; children, Pam Vrba and James Cagle, Stanley Vrba Jr. and wife Debbie, and Melissa Vrba, all of West, and Melinda Vrba of Elm Mott; a brother, Don Hipp and wife Paula; sisters, Donna Auld and husband Kenneth and Julia Still; grandchildren, Brian Anness, Deanna Vrba and Joe Jones, Steven Anness and fiance Mayra, Rebecca Kietlinski and husband Kiel, Nicholas Trojan, Sherry Anness and friend Shelbi, Tommy Livingston Jr. and Randy Vrba; a great granddaughter, Layla Nicole Trojan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Randy Vrba, Steven Anness, Brian Anness, Nicholas Trojan, Ronny Howell and Tony Vrba.
