Barbara Lander

Barbara (Kelinske) Lander, age 90, of Wichita Falls, formerly of West, passed away early Thursday morning, April 20, 2023 at Advanced Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Jeff Richter officiating. Burial will follow at Closner Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Barbara was born January 22, 1933 in Leroy, the daughter of Agathon "A.L." and Caroline (Weissinger) Kelinske. She attended Ross grade school and was a graduate of West High School. On April 26, 1958 she was united in marriage to Lonnie Lander in Gerald. Lonnie preceded her in death on July 15, 2018. Barbara was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wichita Falls. She retired from Sheppard Air Force Base as a printing supervisor after 37 years. Barbara enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Barbara is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ernest "E.J." and Felix Kelinske; and her sister, Meta Aleman.

Survivors include a daughter and son, Cynthia Grady and husband Douglas of Salado, and Michael Lander of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Michael Lander Jr. and wife Jessica, Lacey Lander, Marissa Billingsley, Melissa Thompson and husband Matthew, and Kristy Bzoski and husband Daniel; ten great grandchildren; and including many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Dan Bzoski, Doug Grady, Matthew Thompson, Bradley Nors, Clint Nors, and Glen Vigus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Closner Cemetery Association.
