Archie H. Mcdugal

Archie McDugal, age 61, of Gholson, passed away late Friday morning, May 20, 2016 in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Jimmy Sansom officiating. Burial will follow at Gholson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Archie was born March 22, 1955 in Waco, the son of Hollis and Lelia (Walker) McDugal. He attended school in Gholson and was a 1974 graduate of West High School. Archie was a carrier for the U.S. Post Office for many years. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gholson. Archie was a dirt track racer and loved tinkering with cars. He also enjoyed fishing, telling stories, and was well liked by his many friends. Archie is preceded in death by his father and a sister, Molly Adair. Survivors include his mother, Lelia McDugal; a brother, Mark McDugal; a brother-in-law, Ricky Adair, all of Gholson; nieces, Melissa Sulak and husband Eddie and Janie Adair; nephews, Tim Adair and Adam McDugal and wife Tami; several great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Adam McDugal, Tim Adair, Eddie Sulak, Bruce Anderson, Dale Wyatt and Jamie Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gholson Cemetery Association.
