Ann Murray, age 94, of Clifton, a former model, interior decorator, home builder, and artist, passed away late Sunday night, December 12, 2021 at her residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Ann was born May 8, 1927 in Lometa, the daughter of Sam and Hallie (Cravey) Tackitt. She was a 1943 graduate of Wortham High School. On May 8, 1970 she was united in marriage to Arthur "Kit" Murray in Dallas. Arthur preceded her in death on July 25, 2011. Ann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and also a member of the Texas Equestrian Trail Riders Association. Ann enjoyed gardening, taking care of her horses, and anything in the great outdoors. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters and their husbands, Matie Day and William Morgan Craig, Margaret and Clayton Benton, Sammie Louise and Truman Strunk, and Ellen and Bennie Frank Watson; and brothers and their wives, R.C. and Evelyn Tackitt, Nathan and Betty Tackitt, and Johnnie Tackitt. Survivors include her children, Judy Lynn Weaver of Las Vegas, Adele Leigh Humphreys of Clifton, and Laura Howard of Hondo; grandchildren, Melissa Howard, Ty Richardson, Sam Leavitt, and Russ Marble; several great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Humane Society.
