Angeline Ann (Schroeder) Schuetz, age 96, of Waco, passed away late Thursday evening, August 27, 2020 at Crystal Creek Assisted Living in Dallas. A Rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. Angie was born August 28, 1923 in Tours to parents Martin Schroeder and Agnes (Jupe) Schroeder. She attended St. Martin’s Catholic School in Tours, the old Gerald Elementary School and West High School. On November 8, 1941, she was united in marriage to Oscar Chris Schuetz, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Ben, Buster, and Anton; her cousins, Sr. Olga Zotz and Sr. Agnes Zotz; and a son-in-law, Tom Ray. Angie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellmead from 1955 to 1999 when she moved to Dallas to live with her daughter, Betty Ray. She then became a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Altar Society. Angie worked for Neuhoff Brothers Packers doing demonstrations in Waco grocery stores after her youngest child began school. She then worked 14 years for Pipkin’s Drug Store as a cashier. Prior to retiring at age 75, Angie worked as a cashier and bookkeeper for Leon’s Cinderella for 25 years. Angie is survived by her daughters, Pat Schuetz of Houston, and Betty Ray of Dallas; her son, U.S. Air Force Ret. Colonel Richard Schuetz and wife Debbie of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, John Schroeder of CA; her grandchildren, Rachel Searson, Rick Ray, Laura Sandager, and Kristin Schuetz; her great-grandchildren, Tad Searson, Kaity Sandager, Reagan Searson, Elliot Fristoe-Schuetz, and Izzy Fristoe-Schuetz; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Rick Ray, John Searson, Tad Searson, Preston Pierce, Billy Wayne Schroeder, John Lee Schroeder and Mordy Duke. Honorary pallbearer is William Lee Schroeder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sisters of Divine Providence, 512 S.W. 24th Street San Antonio, Texas 78207 (www.cdptexas.org).
