Alice Faye Crum, age 59, of Malone, passed away late Thursday evening, December 13, 2012 at her residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Chaplain Dwane Owen officiating. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Alice was born March 4, 1953 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Theodore and Eula Faye (Jones) Monthey. She attended schools in Malone and was a graduate of Penelope High School. On November 16, 1973, she was united in marriage to Thomas Mart Crum in Hubbard. Alice worked for West Rest Haven for 13 years before retiring in 2011. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Malone. Alice enjoyed all things red and watching butterflies and hummingbirds. She especially loved spending time with her grandsons. Alice is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Monthey. Survivors her beloved husband of 39 years, Thomas Crum of Malone; two sons, Tommy D. Crum and wife Belinda of Elm Mott, and Terry M. Crum of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Tammy Louise Comstock and husband Casey of Williamstown, NY; grandsons, Colton, Corey and Connor Crum, Gavin Crum and Freddie Comstock; sisters, Eula Mae Ondrej and Sarah Jenson; brothers, Louis Monthey and Terry Monthey; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
