Alice Boen

Alice (Glatter) Boen, age 58, of West, passed away early Friday afternoon, June 10, 2022 at Providence Health Center in Waco. A rosary will be prayed 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Alice was born March 12, 1964 in Waco, the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Herring) Glatter. She attended St. Mary's School and was a 1982 graduate of West High School. On January 30, 1998 she was united in marriage to David Boen in Waco. Alice was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was an account specialist for Brazos Higher Education for over 30 years. Alice enjoyed gardening, baking, going to the casinos, camping, and fishing. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially during the holidays. Alice is preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Brenda Glatter; a brother-in-law, Anthony Urban; and her father-in-law, Edwin Boen Sr. Survivors include her beloved husband of 24 years, David Boen of West; her father, Raymond Glatter Sr. of West; her children, Matthew and Brigette Glatter of Waco, Laci and Wesley Templeton of West, Chris and Cari Boen of Bosqueville, and Shane and Meghan Boen of Bosqueville; her sisters and brothers, Beverly Glatter, Raymond and Michelle Glatter, Mary Urban, Synthie and Dennis Dulock, Carl and Laura Glatter, and Janet and Mike Cammack; her grandchildren, Charlie Jane Glatter, Kalynn Nelson, Jace Templeton, Tayven Boen, and Justin Boen; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Active pallbearers are Shane Boen, Kade Rogers, Kallen Rogers, Simon Dulock, Gregory Dulock, Ashton Rogers, Thomas Glatter and Hayden Glatter. Honorary pallbearers are all her nieces and nephews.
