Albert J. Pibil, age 84, of Abbott, passed away early Friday afternoon, October 28, 2011 at West Rest Haven in West. A Rosary will be recited and memorial services held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Mr. Pibil was born November 2, 1926 in Abbott, the son of Frank and Gracie (Beseda) Pibil. He attended the Brooken School and graduated from Abbott High School in 1944. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II. On November 7, 1949 he was united in marriage to Doris Mae Roznovsky in Penelope. Albert was a farmer for most of his life. He also worked for Chrysler Technologies as an Aeronautic Technician before retiring in 1992. He was also an Amway Distributor for many years. Albert was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4819, and The K.J.T. Society in Abbott. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and especially loved spending time with his family. Albert is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Pibil; and a brother, John J. Pibil. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Doris Pibil of Abbott; a daughter, Lisa Pibil of Abbott; a sister, Frances Gerlich of Lancaster; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Memorial Fund.
