Agnes L. Divin

Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Divin, age 93, of West, passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Deacon John Petter. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with Rev. Ed Karasek and Deacon John Petter as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Divin was born October 27, 1911 in Hill County, the daughter of John and Marie (Kostohryz) Kolar. She attended Alligator Creek School and St. Mary's school in West. Agnes married Frank V. Divin on November 14, 1932 in West. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1985. Agnes was a homemaker and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple, K.J.Z.T. Society No. 105, and Our Lady of Mercy Altar Society for over 50 years, both in Hillsboro. Four brothers, Willie Kolar, Robert Kolar, Albert Kolar, and Johnny Kolar; five sisters, Carrie Kolar, Wilma Kolar, Millie Marek, Mary Pustejovsky, and Annie Muehlstein; son-in-law, John Marak, and grandchildren, Robbie and Mary Marak all preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Joe Frank Divin and his wife Dolores and Norman Divin and his wife Nancy, all of Hillsboro, and Ernest Divin and his wife Sheila of Duncanville; two daughters, Margaret Marak of Weatherford and Janie Petter and her husband John of Temple; sister-in-law Marie Kolar of Corsicana; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Mark Marak, Stephen Marak, Jeff Divin, Todd Divin, Brent Divin, Dale Petter, Chuck Petter, Tim Petter, Greg Petter, Roger Petter, Kurt Petter, James Petter, Jason Divin, Ryan Divin, Andrew Divin, and Joshua Divin. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center.
