Agnes (Tupy) Dujka, age 94, of Ross, passed away early Sunday morning, January 14, 2018 at West Rest Haven in West. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at the West Brethren Church, with Rev Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at West Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Agnes was born December 27, 1923 in Ennis, the daughter of Wesley and Aloise (Bobalik) Tupy. She attended schools in Crisp and Ennis, graduating from Ennis High School in 1940 prior to attending Metropolitan Business College in Dallas. She worked in the business office of a Dallas cosmetics manufacturing company prior to her marriage to Milan Dujka of Ross on March 3, 1945. The couple resided in Dallas until they purchased a farm in Ross in 1947. She was a devoted wife and mother who was involved in her children's school and sports activities and community events in Ross. Agnes was an excellent cook and seamstress and provided childcare for numerous neighborhood children. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Agnes enjoyed working in the garden and farming with Milan until his death on August 14, 1994. She was a member of West Brethren Church, SPJST Lodge #54 and the Ladies Sewing Circle of Ennis. Agnes is also preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Bessie Nadenicek Tupy; a grandson, Tyler James; a brother, Wesley Tupy; sisters, Anne Zvolanek, Mary Sebestik, Mildred Baker, Georgia Tupy, Libbie Wisniewski and Alice Roberts; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, including Mary Dujka, who was her closest friend. Survivors include her sons, Milan Dujka Jr. and wife Harriet of Ross, Steve Dujka and wife Mary Lou of Richmond, Marshall Dujka and wife Deborah of Richmond; a daughter Patti James and husband Mike of Ross; grandchildren, Sarah Wines and husband Brad, Milan Dujka III and fiance Mandi Cabrera, Megan Jakubik and husband Russell, Leanne Espinoza and husband Justin, Michael Dujka and wife Katherine, Kathryn Dujka, Brandon Dujka, Bryan Dujka, Lauren Dujka, Sally Ellsworth and husband Gordon and Wesley James and wife Mallori; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brianna, Travis, Jay, Evan, Michael, Aubrey, Anica, Mikayla, Michael and Caroline; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Milan Dujka III, Michael Dujka, Brandon Dujka, Bryan Dujka, Wesley James, Brad Wines, Russell Jakubik, Justin Espinoza and Gordon Ellsworth. Memorials may be made to West Brethren Cemetery.
