Adela Kaska

Adela Kaska, age 92, of Hurst, formerly of West, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 1, 2016 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Adela was born April 15, 1924 in West, the daughter of Frank W. and Annie (Cvikel) Dolezal. She attended St. Mary's School and West High School. Adela received an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from Eastfield College in Dallas. On August 20, 1940 she was united in marriage to Anton F. Kaska in West. Anton preceded her in death on October 29, 2004. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and served at several Metroplex area hospitals including Hurst and Harris Methodist HEB before retiring in 1999. Adela was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Hurst. She was also a member of the SPJST Lodge 84 and the KJZT Society, both in Dallas. Adela enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors and spending time with her family. She especially loved her dog "China". Adela is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alphonse Dolezal; and sisters, Irene Plsek and Elsie Snokhous. Survivors include a son, Frank Kaska and wife Lauren of Hurst; daughters, Rose Marie Kahrs and husband Alfred of Springtown and Antoinette "Tony" Price and husband Thomas of Spring Branch; grandchildren, Patrick Kaska, Chris Kaska and wife Nikki, Jessica Tabor and husband Cotton, Amy Casillas and husband Charlie, Celeste Kahrs, Terri Kahrs, Norma Vernoy and Thomas Price Jr.; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Patrick Kaska, Cotton Tabor, Charlie Casillas, Trevor Tabor, Jacob Casillas, Ted Kostohryz, Anthony Urban, and Jerry McDougall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA or the charity of your choice.
