Wayne Casey

Wayne "Tom Dooley" Casey, age 74, of Leroy, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gerald Cemetery, with Rev. Greg Way officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Wayne was born November 29, 1938 in Leroy, the son of William A. "Shotgun" and Margaret (Clark) Casey. He attended school in West. Wayne was known in the Leroy community as a handyman. He enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle and whittling things out of wood. Wayne especially loved spending time with family and friends. He was a lifelong member of The Leroy Church. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Estelle Sonnenberg and Jane Resendez. Survivors include a brother, A.D. Casey of San Antonio; two sisters, Joyce Brow of Elm Mott and Wanda Landfried and husband Dean of Axtell; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leroy church.
