Russell Edward Kuklies, age 40, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at White Rock Cemetery in Ross, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek officiating.
Russell was born June 8, 1983 in Freeport, Texas, the son of Robert A. and Cecilia (King) Kuklies. He was a 2001 graduate of Brazos Wood High School and then attended Brazosport College, both in Lake Jackson. Russell and his partner Takima lived in Pueblo, Colorado and were blessed with two sons. He worked for Windswept Seafood Restaurant for many years. Russell was an incredible sous chef and enjoyed cooking, skateboarding, practicing karate, woodworking, and playing football and baseball. Russell was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved spending time with his family in Colorado, especially the many adventures and activities with his beloved sons.
Russell is preceded in death by his grandparents; Robert E. and Pauline Kuklies and John and Mary King; father-in-law, John Babnew; an infant brother Jonathan Kuklies; and an infant nephew, John Davis.
Survivors include his partner, Takima Saint Pierre of Pueblo, Colorado; his sons, Curtis and Dominic Babnew; his parents, Robert A. and Cecilia Kuklies; sisters, Vanessa Davis and husband John, and Tonia Gaidosik and husband Andrew; a brother, Robert M. Kuklies and wife Lisa; a brother-in-law, Andrew Babnew; mother-in-law, Tammy Knoll; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
