Mary Ann Snyder, age 68, of North Richland Hills, formerly of West, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Anthony Odiong as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mary Ann was born on October 30, 1940 in Leroy, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Hahmann) Snyder. She attended schools in Waco and graduated from University High School in 1958. She worked as an administrative assistant and teacher's aide for Texas State Technical College and West Independent School District. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. Mary Ann was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville and the Jr. Catholic Daughters of America. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Evelyn Hlavenka. Survivors include one son, Bubba Wolske and friend, Shelly Kudelka of West; two daughters, Aimee Shelton and husband Bud of West and Caroline Ondrej and husband Lance of North Richland Hills; one sister, Carol McCoy of West; four grandchildren; Cassidy Shelton, Seth Wolske, and Holden & Evan Ondrej; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers will be Tommy Hlavenka, Jon Hlavenka, Jimbo McCoy, Jerry Don McCoy, Preston McCoy, and Kevin Hlavenka. Memorials may be made to St. Martin's Cemetery or the charity of your choice.
