Madeline Keel Comeaux

Madeline (Keel) Comeaux, age 65, of Gholson, passed away early Saturday morning, December 7, 2019 at her residence. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating.The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Madeline was born October 8, 1954 in Waco, the daughter of Ernest "Gene" and Ruth (Harkins) Keel. She attended Connally schools and West High School. On April 6, 1991 she was united in marriage to Dudley Comeaux in Maurice, Louisiana. Madeline worked as a waitress and managed several Central Texas area restaurants. She enjoyed reading, doing arts and crafts, and going to the casinos. Madeline loved to talk, visit and play cards with her many friends. She was a member of the Choctaw National Artist Registry and a very proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Madeline is preceded in death by her father, Ernest "Gene" Keel and her parents-in-law, Eugene and Bernice Comeaux. Survivors include her beloved husband of 28 years, Dudley Comeaux of Gholson; her mother, Ruth (Harkins) Keel of Gholson; her children, Amy Bourque of Calera, OK, Patrick Herring and wife April of Durant, OK, Clint Herring and wife Christina of Durant, OK, and Erica Comeaux of Lafayette, LA; her brothers, Ernie Keel and wife Debbie of West and Karl Keel and wife Kathy of Austin; her granddaughters, Alexandria, Jasmine, Jennifer, Jalayla, Mackenzie, and Kaylee; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gholson Volunteer Fire Department, Gholson Cemetery Association or the charity of your choice.
