Jesse James Pittman, Jr.

Jesse James Pittman Jr., age 81, of Gholson, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at his residence.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Jesse was born January 6, 1941 in Midway, Mississippi,the son of Elsie (Hood) and Jesse Pittman Sr. He was a 1959 graduate of Yazoo City High School in Yazoo City, MS. Jesse proudly served his country with the United States Army National Guard. He was a proud member of National Rifle Association and worked as a truck driver for B.C. Williams Trucking before retiring. Jesse enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, traveling, and maintaining his yard. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, James Grady.

Survivors include his children, Shelly Gilmore and husband William of Satartia, MS, Susan  Gamble and husband John of Alvin, James Pittman and wife Jennifer of Yazoo City, MS, Joseph Pittman of Grandview, and Casey Pittman and wife Betsy of Waco; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Pittman-Davis; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
