Ivy Marjorie Stafford

Ivy Marjorie Rose Stafford, age 70, of Chalk Bluff, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, March 2, 2012 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Chalk Bluff Baptist Church, with Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Ivy was born March 7, 1941 in Chinnor, Oxfordshire England, the daughter of George Robert and Olive Sage. She was a graduate of Chinnor High School. On May 16, 1973 she was united in marriage to Jim L. Stafford in Mount Calm. Ivy was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She loved being a member of Chalk Bluff Baptist Church a Church of Believers. Ivy loved attending Shrine functions, shopping, and heading to the Ross Store to get a good hamburger. Her family was very important to her, and she always enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren. Ivy is preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Emily and George Brittnell. Survivors include her beloved husband of 38 years, Jim L. "Cotton Candy" Stafford of Chalk Bluff; four sons, Mark Driskell and wife Angie of Weldon, CA, Grant Driskell and wife Danah, and Ricky Driskell and wife Lisa, all of Lacy Lakeview, and Stacey Driskell and wife Brandy of Ross; a daughter, Hayley Williams and husband Rob of Chalk Bluff; a sister, Cynthia Eckert and husband Pete of England; two nephews, James and Elliott Eckert; 28 grandchildren, Melissa, Robert, Cheryl, Markie, Rachael, Brandon, Stephanie, Misty, Dustin, Elliott, Easton, Robert L., Matt, Ashley, Krista, Candice, Chris, Derek, Dallas, Tara, Madilyn, Steven, Blake, Madison, Austin, Brenden, Taylor B. and Brandon L.; 24 great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Justin Radcliff, Robert Driskell, Dustin Richardson, Elliott Richardson, Chris Driskell, Matt Driskell, Easton Richardson, Blake Driskell, Brenden Driskell, Austin Driskell, Derek Driskell, Dallas Driskell and Markie Driskell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chalk Bluff Baptist Church Building Fund.
