Carol McCoy, age 81 of West, passed away early Monday morning, June 22, 2015 at The Woodlands Health Care Center in Houston. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours, with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Carol was born September 9, 1933 in Tours, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Hahmann) Snyder. She graduated from Waco Technical High School in 1952. On June 28, 1952 she was united in marriage to James A. "Mickey" McCoy in Waco. Mickey preceded her in death on August 28, 1988. Carol was a homemaker. She loved the outdoors, camping and fishing, gardening, dancing, cooking, spending time on her farm and spending time with her family and her dog, Molly. Carol is also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Evelyn Hlavenka and Mary Ann Snyder. Survivors include a daughter, Lyndee O'Neal and husband J.D of St. Petersburg, FL ; two sons, Jimbo McCoy and wife Dolores of West and Jerry Don McCoy and wife Laurie of The Woodlands; 6 grandchildren, Trent McCoy, Preston McCoy, Morgan McCoy, Kendall McCoy, Jake O'Neal and Kinsey O'Neal; her dog, Molly; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren and her dog Molly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund.
