Annie Chudej

Annie Chudej, age 83 of West passed away Friday evening, September 8, 2006 in Providence Health Center in Waco. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2006 at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West; with Father Ed Karasek, as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Chudej was born May 1, 1923 at West and had lived in the West area all of her life. She married Louis V. Chudej on November 10, 1943 at West and he preceded her in death May 4, 1992. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4819 of West, K.J.Z.T. Society #11, an associate member of K.J.T. #31, member of SPJST Lodge #6 of Cottonwood and a volunteer at West Rest Haven for thirty years. She is survived by three sons, Ernest Chudej of Chalk Bluff, Edward Chudej of West and Johnny Chudej and wife Barbara of Ross; a sister, Georgia Skerik of West; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Edwin Nors, Robert Nors, Kenny Chudej, Ernest Soukup, Harry Nors and Aubrey Uptmor. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4819 and volunteers of West Rest Haven. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center in West.
